Epson Stylus Inkjet Printer Paper Jam Problem

The common problem of paper jam in Epson Inkjet printer are:

  • There is an obstacles that prevent the paper to go down
  • Loose spring
  • Broken spring connector
  • Fade Paper Feeder Rubber
  • Broken parts such as roller (rare)

In this picture, a paper preventing  the roller to roll the paper down . If you put a paper in the paper tray and print. It would be likely that the paper will feed but in the right side wouldn’t, and later on the printer triggers paper jam. Aside from paper, some possible things obstruct are coins and staple wire. The most  common of all paper jam problem.

When printing the paper feeder try to pick the paper down but the paper still stay in its position. Check this area if the spring is still there or isn’t loose. It happens rarely and it happens most to the such as:

Epson P50 Paper Jam

The spring loose or the alignment of the plastic escape from its position. Disassemble the paper feeder and put back the spring and the alignment  of plastic to its proper location. It usually happens when feeding a thick paper or putting a lot of paper in its paper tray which exceeds  printer maximum specified allowed.

The spring holder breaks. It happens when coins, metals, papers or anything that blocks the  paper. To fix this kind of problem is to replace the whole plastic.

The paper feeder rubber fades. Replace it with a new one.
