How to Repair Windows 7 Error Required CD/DVD Drive Missing

To Repair the Error “Required CD/DVD Drive Missing” during installation of Windows 7 or other Windows Operating System on a new device, such as a laptop, netbook, or desktop computer, and encounter the error message “A Required CD/DVD drive driver is missing,” there could be several reasons why this is happening.

One possible reason for this error is that the Windows 7 DVD disc or Windows 10 installer is corrupted. Alternatively, if you are using downloaded ISO files, they could also be corrupted. Another possible reason is that the latest Intel chipset used in your computer may not yet be supported by Windows 7 or Windows 10.

Finally, if the BIOS settings in your device do not include UEFI settings, this can also cause an error.

To resolve the issue of corrupted DVD disc or ISO files, the solution is to replace the Windows 7 or Windows 10 installer with a new one. If you are using an older version of the installer, you should update it or replace the Windows software altogether.

If you are using a bootable USB flash drive to install Windows 7 or Windows 10, it is important to note that newer desktop computers or laptops with USB 3.0 ports may encounter the same error message. In this case, make sure to plug the flash drive into a USB 2.0 port instead to avoid the error.
